Green Santa's Wishlist

Season's Greenings!

The holidays are abuzz with joy and excitement. Remember to be kind to your planet in every way possible. Here are some ideas:

  1. Don't be an energy grinch!
If it's chilly, layer on a cozy sweater, scarf or slippers. Use energy-saving lights even on the tree. Power down your electronics when you're not using them.
  2. Check your list twice.
Do you really need everything on it? Are the items made from earth-friendly materials? Can they be used for years and then passed along to another child for more years of fun?
  3. Be a paper scrooge
Wrap gifts in homemade wrap by decorating old shopping bags and newspaper sheets with stamps, stickers and eco-smart paints. Or use sacks that can get reused.
